AH I can’t even put into words how excited I am about this recipe! I’ve been wanting to adapt my bagel recipe into a bread recipe for so long, and now it’s finally here! This bagel bread is truly everything I want and more each morning! It’s such a good addition to any brunch, soup, salad, etc. Without further ado, let’s jump in!

Bagel Bread Breakdown!

PurelyPope Bagel BreadThe fact that my bagels have been the most popular and loved recipe on my website and blog just added to the fact that I needed to make this bagel bread happen. Here’s the bulk of what went into it:

  • Eggs: As you may know, eggs are a wonderful source of protein, as well as vitamins D, B6 and B12. They’re also high in zinc too! With all protein options, I always say organic is best! This is no exception with eggs either. With eggs, it’s the same as meat – they can be much more nutritious and absent of the harsh chemicals and antibiotics that we don’t want to consume!
  • Flour: For this recipe, I chose to use almond flour. Almond flour is made from just that – almonds. It’s a great source of healthy fat, high in fiber, protein and low in net carbs. It’s a great bang for your buck where flour is concerned. The reason why I stay away from all-purpose refined flour is because whenever you see the word ‘refined’ that essentially means it’s been stripped of all of the fiber and nutrients through that refining process, and we want to keep that!
  • Fiber & (Healthy) Fat: I also added in flaxseed meal into this bread. It adds a delicious sweetness, as well as a great source of fiber and healthy fats (Omega-3’s.)

Ingredients

  • 3 eggs
  • 1/4 c water
  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 c almond flour
  • 1/2 c flaxseed meal
  • 1 tbsp everything bagel seasoning
  • 1 tsp baking powder

Instructions

Let’s Get This Bread!

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Add all wet ingredients to a bowl (egg, water, ACV, olive oil) and mix well.
  3. Add in all of the dry ingredients (but only half of the everything bagel seasoning) and mix well.
  4. Grease a 9″x5″ baking dish with avocado oil and add in batter evenly. 
  5. Top the batter with the remainder of the everything bagel seasoning.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes (depending on your oven), allow to cool and then enjoy!

Notes

Store in the refrigerator or slice and freeze.
